Job Overview:

Are you a highly motivated and accomplished science-guru or experienced scientific sales representative with an unyielding grit and a passion for driving success? As a vital member of our sales team, you'll play a crucial role in driving the sales of our comprehensive range of science education supplies through our e-commerce platform. This ground-floor opportunity provides you with the autonomy to shape your sales strategy, enabling you to drive revenue growth both in established markets and uncharted territories. We're looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, possesses unwavering resilience, and upholds strong principles. Your exceptional strategic vision and ability to think outside the box will be instrumental in capitalizing on exciting market opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Foster and maintain lasting relationships with current and potential clients using company CRM
  • Generate new sales leads, while nurture existing ones
  • Provide precise price quotes and lead times to customers
  • Meet or exceed set sales targets
  • Effectively manage customer orders and resolve any arising issues
  • Coordinate with customer advocacy and relationship management team for mutual sales success and to guarantee customer satisfaction
  • Stay informed of industry trends and products to better serve customers
  • Embody a growth mindset and continuously seek out ways to improve and develop both professionally and personally
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Other Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience in a role that involves knowledge of science and science product, sales experience within a scientific field, OR science educator
  • Proven record of success, and the ability to meet set targets
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Independent work style combined with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, CRM and building out sales processes, woah-no we're talking!
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A growth mindset, a drive to continuously improve and develop (we do not do things, "because that's how we've always done it")
  • Experience with managing business social media accounts is a plus
  • Sales data analytics acumen, is another win!

Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

Typically works in an office with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

  • Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
  • A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
  • Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 25 lbs.
  • Will be required to assist in other areas from time to time, including but not limited to order fulfillment, packing and shipping.
